The Freeride World Tour (FWT) today announced the launch of two original video productions for the 2026 season, created in collaboration with the renowned production agency Koastal Forest. Together, the projects aim to reveal the human, cultural, and emotional depth of freeride Ski and Snowboarding through two distinct yet connected storytelling approaches: one raw, immersive, and in motion, the other cinematic, reflective, and structured.
At a time when audiences seek authenticity, access, and narrative depth, the FWT’s 2026 content strategy expands beyond event-day competition to follow athletes through the full arc of the winter, from preparation and pressure to travel, recovery, and the defining moments that shape a season.
OFF THE RECORD: IMMERSION FROM THE INSIDE OUT, RELEASED AFTER EACH STOP
Off The Record is an immersive episodic series filmed primarily on GoPro, during competition and behind the scenes. Designed to bring fans inside the athletes’ lived experience, each episode captures the intensity of decision-making, the speed of the ride, and the quiet focus before dropping into the fall line, as well as the backstage reality between runs: laughter, fatigue, rituals, logistics, and the personal cost of chasing winter.
Episodes will be released D+5 after each Freeride World Tour stop and distributed on the GoPro Snow YouTube channel, maintaining momentum throughout the season and extending the audience conversation well beyond competition days.
THE DOCU SERIES: A SEASON-LONG NARRATIVE, RELEASING IN NOVEMBER 2026
The second production is a cinematic Docu Series that takes viewers deep into the world of the 2026 Freeride World Tour, following the season’s most compelling athletes through six high-stakes stops, from the first tense face check to the final showdown on the Bec des Rosses in Verbier. Structured for larger narrative arcs, the series explores performance, doubt, setbacks, breakthroughs, friendships, rivalries, and the unique relationship riders build with the mountain.
The full series will be released in November 2026, distributed across FWT owned channels and the Tour’s broadcast and media partners.
QUOTE
Freeride is one of the most powerful storytelling arenas in sport because it blends performance with consequence, creativity with engagement, and a deep human connection to the mountain. With Koastal Forest, we’re opening a new chapter that goes beyond results and highlights what truly defines this sport: the people, the culture, the emotions, and everything it takes to show up at the top of a face and commit. These two series will bring audiences closer than ever to the riders and the reality of their winter.
Nicolas Hale-Woods, CEO and Founder of the Freeride World Tour.
PARTNERS
The productions are supported by Biotherm, Peak Performance, GoPro, and Alpina, enabling the FWT to invest in ambitious, premium storytelling and provide audiences with deeper access to the athletes and the world they inhabit.
